I had my 2547 almost 2 years it is the BOSS of base station for Am I get great audio reports with mic and matching radio (SKIP)with the NEW Siroi 27 TORNADO you will be worldwide am loving it.

good radio after mods radio will be off freq if not tuned up buy a good tech and if using on ssb u better have a good tech to put this radio on freq and open up the clafier to keep it on freq cuz this radio will drift

Got the radio back from mod's It works great!TIX SSB has great audio as well as AM.The RIX is great I have the Cobra 2000 GTL bought new and the Galaxy 2547 in some ways better. I use the Galaxy Echo mic but had lower audio tones put in I run the mic gain on the radio under 3/4 and mic gain on the mic at 2. This radio is a great CB base I would buy it agian with no doughts.

The Galaxy2547 is a great radio I did have some mod's done. I use the Galaxy Echo mic(with no echo)I did have lower tone mod's done to the mic. I get great audio reports with this radio and mic!
