Bought one similar 25 yrs ago, still works great! Works good for apartment or antenna restricted area, better than NO antenna. Great for a spare /back up or to haul around on a trip. Still use mine for testing radios on the bench! Worth the money to have it around, just in case!

for a small atenna i was realy suprized how well it worked on my balcany i used a camera try pod i sort of rescued out of a dumpster and mont it on that and it worked grate for this its best to go with the RGU8 thick coax about 25 feet then you get 1.1 swr and run a exta ground wire to your radio just losen a scrue thats on the metel case part on the back and thow wire behind that and titen down and that pretty much took care of the swr problem it had 2.3 soon as you thow a ground wire on that will drop the swr around 1.1 wich i consider good enuugh waz useing a cobra 142 GTL and D104 hand held mic wich copper wired up vary nicely works grate so its a small atenna but it does pack a pretty good PUNCH for its size waz haveing DX with people in new york and im in wisconsin on a bear foot radio i figure thats pretty good for such a small atenna
