I have found that when the conditions are rough or the skip is flying this Mic will punch thru when no other mic will. I have used this Mic for AM & SSB use and have constantly received the same reports that were LOUD & CLEAR! The radios I have used the DM-452 on are: Ranger 2995DX, Galaxy Saturn Turbo, Ranger 2970DX, Texas Ranger 696F SSB Base, Magnum Omega Force, Magnum S-3, Magnum S-6, Magnum S-9, Voyage VR9000, Uniden PC-78, President Washington, and many other radios I have around here all with the same OUTSTANDING results. I have recommended this Mic to many of my friends who are also Copper Forum Members and CEF Members and all have been 100% satisfied with it's performance and sound for AM and SSB use. If you are having problems being heard or getting thru the Skip and you are not happy with your Microphones performance I would recommend you give the DM-452 a try. You will be amazed with it's performance on Both AM and SSB. A Tip: I have never adjusted the controls inside of the mic as I have found no reason to as it performs excellent as it comes out of the package. I run mine with the Echo Control on the front of the Mic just BARELY OPEN to the Dot next to the MIN Control. In closing I can only say the Performance of the DM-452 Mic has been outstanding in overall performance in Base & Mobile use with all radios I have used/tested it on.
