Well Lon, I think it looks like a lot of other mics. But from your review and what I have seen and read on it, it seems to be a great sounding mic. I would think it would be a great choice for anyone. Looks are second to how it sounds. Thanks for filling us in on the details Lon!

I agree it looks ugly and cheap in appearance but since Astaic no longer makes the original M104 and their new design is not remotely as good I have been looking for a unit like this! I like the ceramic mic cartridge and I like a nice quite amplifier section that does not add any electronic noise. So I am going to try this unit!
