I read the subscriber preview on this and would love some input from anyone who has one. How does it work with radios that have a dead key around 8 watts? Any input from someone who is using one would be greatly appreciated.

Sitm,

I personally run a 10 watt dead key into my BLA300 and let it swing and I have not had a single problem with it since July of 2007 when I put it inline.

I run mine with the Pre-amp on whenever I turn the radio on since July of 2007 and everything is still working great.

So far it has been 100% problem free.

It has been one of the "BEST" Multi Band Amplifier's that I have personally ever used over the year's.

Hope this help's,
Lon

Lon,
Would you be able to give some numbers on this unit, like what it would run with one watt in, two, three to its max watts input. Is the 25 watts input RMS or PEP? I am preparing to make a purchase and would like to get a better idea of the day to day operation if you would.

Sitm ~ Mark,

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you as it has been a very bad week with new chemo trearment's and sickiness.

On our's I generally run a 6 ~ 8 watt (MAX) dead key using a JCD-201M desk mike and and it swings around 250 ~ 275.

I personally do not like to overdrive any amp as if your meter is off even a little then it can go POOF.

It "IS" one GREAT little amp with MANY Extra Feature's that you WILL NOT find on other amp's.

Hope this help's,
