I was wondering if anybody knows how to disable the keypad speaker.

Yes... Behind the keypad, on the CPU board, you will notice a small, round, black Peizo-buzzer. You can find the small red and black wires comming from it and just cut one, making sure any loose-ends don't short any near-by parts.
