Check out the yahoo group. the_mod or themod . It has everything you need to build "THE MOD".Which is a direct readout. It reads the channel out from -79 to 108 with all the A'S . In order.NO HACKS.There are pictures and mpegs posted that shows exactly how it will look. There is also a "connect the dots" easy to follow way of building the mod.All the parts can be bought right from the group.IF YOU WANT THE BEST MOD WITHOUT HACKING UP YOUR RADIO YOU MUST CHECK THIS OUT. |

Missie, you have to go to Yahoo and click on groups then join "the mod" group and all the info is there.Lotsa great info.Maybe Matt (KidVicious) from here will be of better help than me.We'll see? Very well worth it.I'm gonna start "the mod" for my 2000gtl after the Thanksgiving holiday myself. Can't hardly wait to get it done and operational! Slim |

26.1750 to 28.0850....All modes...-79 to 108 with all the A channels. No skips. All in order. No switches to throw. No maps.Just turn the channel selector. It will work in all the 8719 ssb chassis and is currently being configured for 858 ssb chassis radios. The above radio is actually a Philippines 148gtl with the faceplate swapped from a 148F.And a 6 digit frequency counter installed. But this mod will work in a stock Malaysian 148f with a 5 digit freq.counter as well.Randy |
