Does anyone know the steps to unlock the clarifier on this radio? Takes these radios about 30 mins to warm up. This is the only thing I'd like to do to this thing. I can't find anything about this one, I believe it was the only ssb model. |

Never seen one. Sams' index doesn't list it. Sounds like an orphan, unless someone can wave a magic wand and come up with a factory service book for it. 73

Yes I saw the mod list, nice job! I like that. Super on the mod for the clarifier. I'll post my email if you need it. I would love to have that pic. Thanks Lon. 2600, I'll post a pic if it's allowable and if I knew how. They're a really neat looking radio. Simple but made very well. I would love to have a Sam's on one, but I haven't been able to find one at all either. |

Jellybean, that is one nice looking radio! It has the same color/design as some of Panasonic's late '70s shortwave receivers.

Lon, thanks again, that was it! I emailed you as well. Thanks Kilowatt, it's my favorite oldie that I have. I've got a couple of CPI's and a Palomar SSB500. I've got a Panasonic 3250 as well with a KL40 on top of it. |

Tech808, You wouldn't happen to know a channel mod for this radio would you? PL is a SM5104 or MPC7640, both numbers are on it. Thanks, Jerry |

Yes it did. Does the channel mapping come out about the same as most? I'll wire a counter to it, I was just curious. Thanks very much. |
