Hello, I just bought a pro 500e. I have it where it is very loud. everyone thinks I am on a big base station. I use a D-104 desk mike and I clipped the Mod limiter. also set the swing good too. What I need to know is: Can I add channels to this radio? I really want to add the at least 40 up and 40 down. anyone know of some more good mods for this radio? thanks |

i will have to look but i use a 810 base and i needed to swap pll's and the one i needed from a first generation cobra 29, but even than it wasnt direct. it would do 40 down, not up. a few calls to futurelec for parts and i had it above 40 and need to pull 5k slide. this is the loudest radio i have ever had, and second loudest i have heard. oddly enough the loudest i have come across was a connex 3300 freak. it was loud stock and really screamed when peaked, some thing was made right on that radio. |
