remove D58 from PCB.
remove yellow wire from pcb and solder to cathode of D69 or to a 8 volt source at the front of the board.
remove the white wire from the PCB and solder it thru a 470 ohm resister to ground.
realign the radio.

increased swing mod.

add a jumper to the cathode of D55 to TR36 the base leg which is towards the rear of the radio. lift one leg of R179. this is a controlled carrier mod and will give you more swing.
remove the capacitor that is soldered across TR36
and discard
cathode of D55 is the banded end.

do you have the alignment procedures for the jackson radio? it is the same for the JA version

one other mod to give more audio to AM is to
change R258 to a 1.5K ohm resister and change R261 to a 4.7K resister. this mod was worked up by Rick Jackson from Euro radio.

let us know how the mods go for you. if you have trouble finding R258 it is by the diode D55 and it stands up there and R261 is by VR11. these 2 make a noticable difference in the audio out on AM. mine would only do about 75% mod on am and the resister changes kicked it up to 95 to 100%. I left the limiter intact also.
Rick Jackson came up with this to increase the AM audio and it worked great.
