i just got a tram d201a it is in very good condition trans. & rec. no mods done to it what is it that has to be done to get the vfo (manual) to work on transmit? & any other mods can be done to it thanks bbmfic |

1) Remove Orange wire from relay and connect to PC board Ground 2) Install jumper from White/Blue wire on relay to White/Orange wire on relay 3) Remove White/Red wire from D-125, Remove Anode end(no stripe) of D-126 from front wafer switch and connect to White/Red wire that was removed from D-125 4) The channel selector must be on channel 9 when using the VFO. The clarifier will only change the XMIT frequency when in MANUAL position. Dyslexics of the world UNTIE! No I'm not a Tech,I just know enough to be a nuisance.

ok that will work thanks does anyone have the tuneup for it (D 201 A) or a copy of the service manual oh this vfo mod is listed for the D 201 is it good for the D 201 A? thanks bbmfic |

Yes that mod is supposed to be good for the 201a http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/tram/d201a/index.htm Dyslexics of the world UNTIE! No I'm not a Tech,I just know enough to be a nuisance.
