Dale,

Have him join the Copper Forum.

Then he can tell us which version of the Magnum S-3200 he has and exactly what problems he is having with it.

Or you might suggest he use the SUPERSTAR DM 452 or JCD 201M Microphones as I am quite sure you have read that they BOTH work great with the S-3200B Version 1 & 2 since he does not have the stock magnum non modulated mic.

someone might correct me here, but if am audio is good, but ssb is low...both the d104 and the turner tend to be Too loud...sounds like it's over-modulated on ssb

to determine which version he has.

Or it would be 100% easier and quicker if he would bring the radio to you and then you could log into the Copper Voice Chat with him and the radio there and hooked up to help resolve his problems.

With it not being your radio and you having no actual 1st hand experience with it to determine what problems he is actually having with it this can go on forever trying to guess what the problem could be.

#1 ~ Did he purchase the radio NEW?

#2 ~ If he did purchase the radio new has he contacted Magnum about the problem?

#3 ~ What does a Modulation Meter show?

#4 ~ Has the radio had ANY adjustments made to it by ANYONE?

#5 ~ If he bought it new all he has to do is contact Magnum for a replacement mic.

#6 ~ If he purchased it NEW then he should be able to return it under the factory warranty to repair/resolve any problems he is having.

#7 ~ Without it being your own personal radio and you having no 1st hand actual experience with using it before and after the problem arose this kind of guessing game can go on forever trying to determine what the problem could be.

If you have the 3200B expanded to cover the 11 meter band, are channels 1-40 in one location on the band selector and are they in order like on a normal am\ssb 11 meter unit??

852,

YES, the 11 meter band / cb coverage will be on BAND "E" and YES, they are in order just like on any CB.

Does Copper do the conversion to 11 meter, or is that something the purchaser has to do??

852,

When you place your order YES they will do it, but ONLY if you check the (Service Options) (Expand, Align and Tune) or tell them you want the Option (Expand, Align and Tune) if you phone your order in.
