Hello I have a vintage model Johnson Messenger 124M that is in great working condition have it hooked up right now to a antron 99 thats about 30 feet in the air, my question is would it hurt this unit if I hooked my 300watt linear up to it?

I dont think a A-99 will take 300 watts.
That aside The radio would not get hurt ....
On 6 since 66

The A99 is rated for 2000 watts.

Straight from Copper's sales site:

18' Omni Directional Base Antenna
# Fiberglass Base Ant., 18 ft. length
# Operates on 10-12 Meters without Tuner, 9.9dbi (more like 2.2 dbi gain)
# Handles 2000 Watts P.E.P.
# Three Sections
# 1/2 wave over 1/4 wave tuned antenna

Move along. Nothing to see here.........
