hey guys, i just picked one up. its stock. i want ti to scream. i currently have a voayge vr9000 and i want this radio to put the voyage top shame. im thinking about putting a swiing kit in it and then the little stinger board any help? |

there are some good mods for a 29 but unless your pretty decent with a soldering iron id pay a good tech to do it.

Go to: www.google.com and in the Search Box type in: Cobra 29 Radio Modifications and startb reading as there are hundreds to read on about every modification ever done to the Cobra 29 radios.

yea ya copuld do that.but if it were me id just
do is lower am carrier with the l-coils and raise the vr for audio.then id get a kl40or kl60
that would give ya excellent results without taking it to a tech.if tuned right the 29 will do good byitself

well i bought the erf 2030 and en 1230 things to for the finals along with a pdc 5 meter. im going ?]to be doing the 40 watt mod. what else do you think i should do, swing kit? |

the swing kit uis fake theres no such kit.
a coulpe of varations of the mod also known as super mod.ones ive seen involes either disabling the amc or clipping the audio limiting circuit
either one is a no no.you already got the most ya can do with that radio without destroying the audio quality

ok thanks alot. i also want to install a roger beep in the radio. i just wanna have some major swing and sweet audio. cant really find any good links |

ok, the radio and parts should b in this week. now all i need to do is follow the insulation instructions in the j peg picture i have? what should i set the dead key to, how high should i turn the high power. if someone has a step by step it b great |

ok radio is in. d-20 is cut, and so is d-11. one problem. how do i turn these pots up and down to change power? |
