I have three 3 foot jumpers and when I connect them I have to unthread the connectors to get a signal.
Any answers welcome

You mean you have too unthread the pl259 ground barrel to get a signal! Then you have bad jumper cords that are shorted. Do not use them. Its a direct short. Or it could be the so239 female end of the transmitter also. Take the jumper cords out of line try dummie load and check swr with a new jumper cord ! Also use low power and keep it short when checking!Let us know what you find out?
