I was wondering if anyone has the address or email address for the company that makes the Imax 2000. I want to ask them how was it possible to make a 5/8 wave antenna that doesn't need radials to function properly. |

They did respond back and gave a vague description basically saying,"there are many things that make this antenna special". Means nothing to me. And I asked them to be specific too. |

Maxgain, Your Question: I want to ask them how was it possible to make a 5/8 wave antenna that doesn't need radials to function properly. Tech833 already answered this question on Posted on Monday, April 16, 2007 - 11:56 am: in your Topic/ Post that you posted in: Ask The Tech » Antennas » 5/8 wave with or without radials? The Imax 2000 matching section balances the feedpoint inductance and capacitance adequately so that the ground planes are not required for a good SWR match.
