The bulb in my galaxy 99v meter is very dim I want to put in a new bulb but cant seem to find the old one.I took both top and bottom covers off and dont see the bulb for the meter.Do I have to take the face plate off to access it?thanks

if its one of the big meter style radios, they use a different type of bulb.
looks kinda like a fuse with wires coming out the ends.

i think they install inside the actual meter, but am not sure.
should be available on line.

yeah it does have the big meter.I just took the face plate off i still cant find it.grrr

Behind the s-meter you will see a small pc board called the dimmer pcb. The lamp you are looking for is soldered on that board. You have to remove the dimmer pcb (4 screws) as the lamp is on the side of the dimmer pcb facing the s-meter.
