I have a quick question on the Voyage VR9000. What are the 3 little diodes that are piggy backed on the driver and 2 finals and what are they there for?

Those are for thermal regulation and will crowbar the power back (in circuit) if in the overheat condition which I have never seen work but then again I never pushed one that far..

I picked up a uniden pro 500 xl at a garage sale;it has a carrier and no modulation.the volume is ok on the receive if you leave it low and when turned up starts to pop and a lot of static and you can not here anyone.I changed the tda1905 chip, and no help.any ideas would help.leaning towards the transformer but the radio is not worth just buying parts and installing them.becomes to costly.thank you for any help.
