i guy brought a brut 2 looks like a maco 300 ... but what it dose is if you whistle in it it dose good but when you talk into it it cut on and off relays ant staying keyed up iv put ney caps...new relays what do yall think is up with this?.... thanks

its the input matching circuit.Not getting enough wattage to the keying circuit to keep it keyed.The whistle allows the keying circuit enough wattage to stay keyed.

hmm. it will key up good just 1 watt up to 20 watt into it and it will stay keyed fine till you talk into to it then they go to chattering (off and on) but whistle and it will work good so ???????? thanks

Im thinking input circuit or keying circuit.You may also have a cap in the keying circiut thats too small in value or bad.If its got a ssb switch try cutting it on and see what happens.That will cut in a cap with a higher value. Macos have a tuning circuit on back that can cause this also if its mistuned.You may need a tuning alignment tool.
