I currently have a Superstar 121 but need to get a radio for work. I'll be collecting money from at least four other people to buy a radio and antenna(Lil' Wil' or K30) for the Chip Dozer we run. I was looking at getting the Cobra for work but now I'm considering selling my Superstar for work and buying the Cobra for myself. What are your suggestions and recommendations? |

I think that you need to look to the left side of your screen for SEARCH under UTILLIES. TYPE IN COBRA 150 GTL DX, and READ EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN FIND ON THIS RADIO. Then buy something else. Like Superstar 158EDX or Magnum 257. There are alot better radios out then the Cobra150 ANN SPRING CEF800 CVC#77

I have a 150DX and haven't had any problems with it. If you go inside it and turn up the modulation too high, your audio will break up. |

what kinda features ya want in a radio, echeo, rogerbeerp, extra channels?really need more info.sounds like space maybe limited for a cobra150.do id look at the magnum mini.from what ive read in review seems like a nice little radio.as for antenna id recommend a 102 whip alot better than ones listed.but if that doesnt intrest ya the uniden pro510 is a excellent choice.ive heard some 150s and id take a connex any model over that cobra anyday |

We just need a good talking radio. We currently are using my old Pro 510XL. A 102" whip will just get ripped off by the chip Stacker or a blowline. The largest antenna we've used was a 5' Firestik and the stacker took the rubber tip off. We are currently using mirror mount with a heavy duty stud and a large spring with a fiberglass(brand unknown) antenna. Sometimes our current set up gets out pretty good but the reception lousy(to staticy and cannot turn down the RF). I've used my Superstar on it before which is a whole lot better. But I'm scared to keep dragging it in out. And I don't know if I should sell the superstar to the other operators and buy myself the Cobra 150 or a Uniden 68 or 78 Elite with more powerful finals. |
