Does anyone know if a X-Force #X-200M is a AM Amp only? Was this amp made to operate on single sideband? |

This is a c class amp. sounds and works best on AM. look for ab class amps to run on sideband. most dave made and xforce amps are AM competition amplifiers.the x-200 is set up for am. hope this helps. steve |

X-force makes two types of amps the plain X-force is a class c amp the magnaforce is a class b amp with both am an side band. I've own a magnaforce 900 ( 2 2290's driving 4 2879's) for 3 years the amp has worked flawlessly with no trouble what so ever. I'm seeing close to 800 watts both am an side band in a Ford explorer with the stock alt an battery. GREAT AMP +++++++ |

A lot of people only talk on AM and do not use SSB. To me a pre-amp on most amps bring the noise level up and you do not gain by using them. I figure if I can not hear them well enough without pre-amp, I do not want to talk to them anyway. HARVE UNIT199 CEF210 CVC18 KB0YVK
