have a scout tube amp that works great but after i unkey the mic i have to bump the key a couple of times to get it to unkey. sometimes i even have to put amp on the standby mode then bump mic to get it unkeyed. |

First thing I would do is either clean or replace the relay. BC |

thanks Bc910 for the reply, yup that was the first thing i did. maybe i will try a replacement if i can find one. |

make sure SWR's are good, try changing length of jumper, try lowering dead key input.... |

hey patzerozero my swrs are a round 1.5 with the amp, you think maybe its refelect causing it. my jumpers are 6' long. |

1.5:1 shouldn't be too bad with a tube amp, but, you don't really know where it's matched. can't hurt to try a few different lengths between the radio & amp, try 9', 12' & even 18' to see if it changes things. |
