I have this question posted in my other thread, but, in case nobody sees it here goes again. On the Top One antenna. Where would a ground wire or strap be connected to? Antenna U-bolts or mast??? Since mast runs up inside this antenna. Thanks |

Mast is fine, but if you can run the wire to the feedpoint, that is even better. If you do attach it to the feedpoint, be sure to bond it to the bottom of the mast as well. |

Ok, thanks. I was thinking because the feedpoint was up inside the Top One that a wire or strap placed on u-bolts at feedpoint may change SWR or pattern of antenna. When weather breaks i'll mount Top One on tower and see if it causes RFI to neighbors. Thanks again Tech 833! |

Make sure to sand or scuff all the pieces of aluminum where they meet, and use some Penetrox on the joints so that the antenna does not cause its own intermod style noise. |
