i've read all the old posts on this subject. radio sounds awesome on tx and rx, but the talkback will blow you out of the cab. any fixes on this yet? the galaxy fix did not work. soldered a 470k ohm resistor from c154 to c187 and it made it even louder. HELP PLEASE!!! |

If youre using an external speaker, there is a gizmo I've heard of that is supposed to help. Its a volume control that has 2 wires, that one plugs into the ext speaker jack and the other plugs into the PA jack. Then you plug your speaker into the small control box. Supposedly it only controls the talkback volume and not your receive volume. Just something I heard of but I dont if or how well it works. A couple of my buddies had this problem but were never able to get it fixed. |

if the 470k ohm resistor made it louder, try larger or smaller till it quiets down(use test clip leads instead of soldering all the different ones until you find the right one)...on Most radios, smaller ohms=louder talkback and vice-versa...if that don't work, I don't know what else to try...if all else fails, disable the factory talkback and use one of the Talkback external speakers that use the external speaker jack and the pa jack, some are variable some are not Sean CEF867 CVC81
