1861 I can't remember the name right off but I'll help do a google search, there is a smaller stringer with a center load that works just as will as the normal stringer that fits the Wilson 1000 base.. I'll post the name and maybe even a picture of it if I find it again. Do a google search..type in Wilson 1000 center load and it's the 1st one on the list. Hope this helps? Starface CEF476 CVC14 |

It is a Short Center Loaded Adapter that adapts to the Wilson 500 and all models of the Wilson 1000, 5000, Trucker 2000 and the Trucker 5000 It's name is: The Wilson Short Load The Wilson Short Load Have a height limitation? Can't get into the garage? The overpass is too low? If you have this problem and you need a short antenna, but want the maximum performance that the height limitation puts on you, then the Wilson Short Load is the answer! Designed for maximum efficiency, it is only 3ft short and replaces the 62" whip that is standard for the Wilson 1000 and the Wilson 5000. It will also replace the 49" whip that is standard on the Trucker 2000 & 5000 for those drivers concerned about their height restrictions. The band width will still be wide enough for most uses - 1-1.2 MHz, and the power handling is a strong 500 watts. The Short Load adapts to the Wilson 500 and all models of the Wilson 1000, 5000, Trucker 2000 and the Trucker 5000. The perfect solution for those height problems. Hope this help's, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

To answer your original question...NO, I don't believe it would hurt but I'd probably consider just bending back the top 8" inches or so from the tip till you achieve the desired clearance....might look a bit cleaner. I've seen some pretty damaged antenna's out there on roofs...all seem to do the job just as well as new. |

I think it would look cool if he bent it in a lightening bolt configuration. |
