my radio has a resistor instead of an adjustable vr on vr-18 am low power.my ? is can i just replace it with a vr and what value should it be. reason for asking is i want to lower dead key.or is there something else i have to do to lower deadkey. thanks in advance to whomever replies. |

well i guess nobody can help me out here thanks anyway. i'll keep searching for an answer on lowering the dead key on this radio.reason for this was i bought one of those stinger boards from here,and don't want to ruin the radio or stinger.i guess ill just keep running it as is.again thanks anyway. |

thanks for the reply tech808.i have looked there and it says that my radio has a low power and high power adjustment acording to this sight. my radio does not have the low power adjustment mentioned.it only has a resistor @the specified vr. the only one that has an adjustable vr is the high for am . if i lower the high won't that lower the swing.thanks |
