Triplecguy,

If it is a factory wired CA-75 it should just plug in and work as the wiring is the same.

Hope this help's,

Dan, Lon is correct. Should plug right in and work fine. Maybe the mic is missing the connector and thats what your trying to do.
Don't know the colors of the wires of the radios but this is what I do know.good luck

1-shield
2-audio
3-transmit
4-recieve

Well, I thought the same thing but when I plugged it in, it makes the radio transmit, but there is no audio swing at all, no matter where I set the gain on the mic. (I have a good swing with the stock mic) I figured that there are 2 wires correctly installed and 2 wires that are reversed. I just didn't want to blow anything up before I checked here.
Thanks for the advice

Triplecguy,

Silly question but are you sure the 9 volt battery is good?

I just checked it this minute and it shows a full 9 volts, I even checked while I keyed down to make sure that it didn't drop down under load. I think I might be crazy! The mic has never been opened and the wire colors are as follows
1-shield
2-white
3-red
4-blue
As far as I can tell when I use my meter each pin corresponds to what the post above says it should be, I think I have to be missing something simple.
Thanks,
DAN

I forgot to say, this mic came off of a non-working Galaxy 88, so maybe something had been changed on it to work on that radio?

If you can remember how it was wired for the Galaxy, it would be the same wiring for the Uniden.
The audio wire is the one wrapped by the shield. Although it's easy to figure out which wire does what by opening the microphone and taking a look at the switching.
The information I have at hand, which is from a very good internet site. Lists The Cobra microphone wire colors as follows.
Shield-ground-Pin#1
Red-audio-Pin#2
White-transmit-Pin#3
Blue-receive-Pin#4
Hope this is of some help.

Guys, thanks a lot for all the help, but I am pretty sure the element or something inside broke. I have the same microphone in a non-power mic configuration and it worked without a problem. My local truckstop has the same power mic for $24 brand new, so I think I am just going to stop putting effort into this one and buy a new one. Thanks for all the help guys!

$24.00????? That sounds a little high for a Cobra mobile power microphone.
Should be able to pick up something a little cheeper from Copper Electronics.
