Tech 833
Where I am moving to I have 2 to 3 inches of top soil and then it seems to be very dry kind of reddish brown clay. I am wondering what would work the best for grounding the antenna and also at the polyphaser location ?

Hi Streaky.

If you are just looking for lightning protection, then a typical 8 foot rod will be fine.

If you are looking for RF grounding, then that few inches of top soil would be ideal for laying some radials in it.
