Here's an overview of speech processing that I posted a while ago: http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/discus4/board-auth.cgi?file=/34/83055.html It's not technical, but it'll give you an idea of what the differences are. |

As you can tell, I'm a big fan of speech processing. Any questions? |

A Turner Plus three sets here on my stand next to a Silver Eagle, both will stay here. I've heard CEF-410 Matt's Cobra 2000-GTL with a Turner Plus Three several weeks ago on the CEF Sideband Net. And man what audio coming from his station, that Sunday I think we were the only stations with conditions, as neither one of us heard anyone else on the net. Earlier this evening I was in QSO with a local on sideband with around maybe 60 air miles between us. I was running the Turner Plus Three on my Uniden Grant XL and my friend said the Turner had a greater amount of audio over the Silver Eagle. |

The TenTec kit is a compression processor, and a nice one I'm told. I need to get one of those and try it out to see how it sounds. For $14 you really can't go wrong. Turner +3 microphones are a great example of compression processing. They do an excellent job of increasing the average modulation level. |

Hollowpoint I've built several of them and they do work. Like any audio processer how well depends on the radio and user as to how well they work ..... but it's only $14 |
