Hi,

I'm new here and wanted to say hi. I have purchased many items through Copper through the years and am just now joining this forum!

I am also looking for real IMax 2000 pics. I want to see how you mount it to a mast. I am finally installing a base, and have my 40ft tower, and mast pipe, but am unsure from Solarcon's little black and white pictures what it looks like as far as mounting.

Full pics of the antenna installed with the GPK would be nice too.

Thanks everyone. I searched the pictures section so long I can't see strait and didn't see what I was looking for!

Can't see how you missed them as there are a few in the members pictures area of the forum.

I even have a picture there of my Imax 2000 on a rohn 25g tower.

Please take another look, you might fine just what your looking for.

Yes I know there are a lot of pictures to go thru.

Thanks guys. I'll keep on looking. Does it mount to the side of the mast like that? I'm not too sure if I like that.

Starface: I'll check out your threads again to see! Thanks.

I further checked out your pics, and it looks nice, but I still can't see a close up of how it mounts to the mast pipe. I am guessing the same as the drawing Tech808 posted.

As far as grounding the system. I was just planning on using the 8' copper grounding rod and connect that to the tower base. Should I get a PolyPhaser or any other type of grounding in case of lightning? All my CB buddies just unplug their coax from their setup and claim that will do just fine. What do you guys think?

opps sorry i was thinking of my old A-99
for mounting U-bolts to mast. Brain freeze!
Imax has the new mounting system. Look up
Imax 2000 at Coppers main page and they have a picture on how mast pipe mounts to it...

First off, try to use stronger mast pipe
then they sell at Radio Shack/Lowes ect.
You will be glad you did down the road.
U-bolts that come with Imax will go around
bottom part of imax and then around mast and
bolted. Space them out for more strength.
There is a small tiny water drainage hole near
where your coax plugs in to Imax. Make sure NOT to plug it up with anything.
Do a search here on forum for grounding as
there are many articles/threads.
Good Luck!

As far as mast pipe, I got a piece of 1.66" OD from a tower shop made by American Tower. It's really nice quality.

Will do on the grounding search. Thanks.
