Looking inside the 440HP that Stryker has out...it sure favors the inside of a Magnum S9. The echo/mic board looks like the exact same thing, though I'm only seeing pictures and not actual radios to where I can snatch part numbers. The main PCB looks just like it too. Actually they look like the same radio just the 440HP has the little amp board in the rear and I don't see a freq counter board in the photos for the 440HP. Why? These PCB's and echo boards...are they the new standard and will these start showing up in all new radios or are these just as per Magnum and Stryker? Also, what part number is that "amp pill" in the 440HP? Can anyone explain the use of the boards and why these two companies seem to be the only ones using them? Will Galaxy follow in these footsteps? Chop |

Therealporkchop, That is a question only Shawn at Stryker Radios could answer for you. You can go to the Manufacturers Questions area of the Copper Forum and Click on STRYKER and make a post asking Shawn direct. Hope this help's, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

There are a lot of radios out there by different manufactures that the insides look very similar. I think Ecclesiastes and Lou Franklin said something about this phenomenon. This is not a word for word quote but basically it goes like this: "There's nothing new under the Sun!" WR |
