you'll have to find a donor mic on an internet auction site, as no one is selling any replacement parts anymore. not even mic elements. good luck, the D104's are going the way of the sweep tube amps. matt |

Would make it easier if we knew what parts you needed. Theres a kit out to replace the origional mic element with a HEIL element complete with spacer/padding. the resistors and capacitors are a easy come by even at radio shack. the transistors are both 2n2712, 3 substitutes would be the ECG289A, NTE85, NTE289a. They origionally used a 2sc945 which cross references to the NTE 85 also.............and on and on.... |

John, Take a EXTRA FINE emmery board like women use for their finger nails or 0000 Steel wool and LIGHTLY place it between the contacts and sand them down SLIGHTLY. The contacts can corrade getting a build up over time and need to be cleaned from time to time to make good contact and also spray them with CONTACT CLEANER and dry with a good soft lint free rag. Since you said it was a Silver Eagle model all you should need to do is clean the contacts. Hope this help's, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

John, I have done what Lon suggested in the past and it works great. Those contacts inside there just get dirty. They way those switches are made they should last a lifetime. |
