will a 35 amp astron power supply power a 500 watt mobile texas star amp or no? |

Texas Star web site shows the 500 watt CW transmitter pulling 45 amps maximum.I don't think even a 50 amp power supply would provide 45 amps continuous - you would probably have to go with a 60 amp power supply. Paul CEF662 |

No---35 amp supply is not enough. 60 Amp supply should work. |

Just researched the Astron RS-35-A and it's what I was thinking the output is. It's only a 25 amp. full time output, with a 35 amp surge output. The Astron 35 should power a 150 watt amp nicely. |
