EVEN IF THEY WORK ON US 40 CH UNLESS THEY ARE FCC APROVED THEY ARE ILLEAGAL. Also any radio with FM or more than 40 ch are illeagal. Now some sets may be leagal IF they are 40 ch only if they have a FCC ID number on them and they are dated after Sept 10 1976 BUYER BEWHERE Bruce |

Milkman your right they have 80 and some of them are FM. Sadly internet auction sites is the sorce of many illeagal radios not only CB. They even sell 10 WATT cordless phone although the FCC has shut it down for now Each nation makes it's own rules so beware ...... This apply's to our CB ..... http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/get-cfr.cgi?TITLE=47&PART=95&SECTION=409&YEAR=2000&TYPE=TEXT |

Don't know how true. But, from what I understand Great Britain's CB radio band is all FM and no AM. Possible they have some sideband, this I'm also not sure of. |
