Hi guys. I just acquired an old brand new radio shack bumper mount. I am going to put on my bumper on my truck, 06 Z71 ext cab. Does it matter which side you put it on? I know it would be nice to have on right side so when pulling through the drive through fast food, I would not hit the roof tops. Otherwise, is there any reason as to one side or the other? I am either running 19 AM, or 13 or 38 LSB. CB Radio only. Thanks. Keith in Atlanta CEF 150 |

Nope, left roight front or back it makes no difference to the mount. |

Hey Tech237. I did not think it would, but I do value opinions from here. Thank you for the feedback. Keith in Atlanta CEF 150 |

Keith, I put my mount on the right to get through the drive throughs also. Ever thought about mounting it a little towards the center to get a little less directional? Has crossed my mind before many times. |

That would make it hard to drop the tailgate. And I certainly do not want to cut the tailgate in 1/2. Only a "KB" would consider that. Keith |

Mine is on the right side as well. The directionality being mounted there helps on channel 19 when on the road. Doesn't really seem to affect SSB com's though. I still manage to get out good barefoot. Mounting on the left side helps to avoid low branches which seems to more of what I hit since I use very few drive-thu's and drive a lot on country roads. I have been thinking about moving it for this reason. |
