Mike07083, PIN #1 ~ GROUND - SHIELD PIN #2 ~ AUDIO - WHITE PIN #3 ~ TRANSMIT - RED PIN #4 ~ RECEIVE - BLACK NOTE! I would highly recommend using ONLY the STOCK mic on the Mini Mag as it was designed to give Maximum Performance from the Mini Mag. If you use any mic other than the Faactory Stock Mic that was designed for the Mini Mag you may see a BIG loss in output power. Hope this help's, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

Mike07083, The STOCK Mic will work the best. The MINI MAG was DESIGNED to work at 100% with the STOCK MIC. In testing it here for the Review I had a loss of from 6 to 10 watts OUTPUT when trying to use after market mics and even other Magnum Mics. So I called Sam Lewis and asked what is going on and he said the MINI MAG MIC is designed to work with the MINI MAG ONLY and NO OTHER Mic is going to allow the MINI MAG to reach 100% performance. Very much like the K40 Radio's. So I simply have followed his advice since he is the one who designed it and know's what will and will not work with his radio's. And he was 100% CORRECT Lon TEch808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |
