to look at pic of amp i cant see the heat sync dose the amp have a fan inside if non how dose it discharge heat i would like to try one with my cobra 148 4watt dead key thanks |

you have to look a the amp from the side to see the fins.

The heat sink is the bottom of the amp. Hard to see cause the fins run with the lentgh of the amp. It actually has very good cooling ability with such a large sink. It does not have a fan in there but using your own fan to help keep it cooler is recommended for long QSO's. From my own setup I know a 148 is enough radio to get things pretty warm without a fan!73 |
