--Hi, all. Will the above be a good combination? I am just double checking before I buy this amp (from Copper Electronics, of course). FYI, Using the variable RF knob on the radio, the radio will "dead key" anywhere from 1 1/2 to 8 watts, and PEP (depending on channel) is anywhere from 25 to 28/29 watts or so. On SSB, the radio peaks at about 25-30 watts, give or take. I figure if I have a 2 to 3 watt deadkey, the amp will be happy. --The DX350HDV I have is great, but I was worried that it would not take the PEP that my new RCI-2950DX would throw at it. I usually run about a 50-60 watt dead key with this amp and it seems to work great. I figure at the same level of output power (50-60 watts DK), the DX500V would run a little bit cooler, plus when I need it, more power to be heard, haha. Thanks for the info. |

Yeah man that will be a good set up. Do me a favor, if you remember that is. When you get everything set up, shoot me an e-mail. I would like to run that exact same thing in my mobile. My e-mail address is audiophile73@yahoo.com. Just set the amp to key up at about 125 watts and let it swing from there. |
