Need some help! Been a lomg time since I opened up the clarifier (both coarse and fine) in this radio and can not find the mod. Does any one know of a link and can share the mod with me? Thank you in advance for any help. |

the 148fgtldx/connex4800dx/rci6900 all come with the coarse unlocked. the fine is locked-as it should be. |

Thank you for your respose. I personally feel the fine should be unlocked and would like to run this radio that way. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on that point. However any help with the mod would be appreciated. |

Corvette: Here is what I found at ranger usa.com: November Tech Tip of the Month: : OK, so you want to modify the clarifier for the RCI-6900 series. It is a simple 3-step operation: 1.) Remove D63. 2.) Remove R115 (47 ohms). 3. Add jumper from J10 - F1 to 8V of J15. I have no idea if this works but you can do a search for it yourself by just inserting rci 6900 clarifier modification into a search engine. Please check it before you do the mod. Marty KG6QKJ |
