Ok, when I turn the radio on, the frequency display blinks several times before showing the frequency. I thought it was probably the battery, but since it is not, any ideas? |

I've an idea what it could be, but I don't want to steer ya wrong, so I won't say anything. Maybe one of the techs will see this and answer your question.........but don't hold your breath......... |

My HTX 100 did that one time. The manual (p.36) says: If your transceiver is subject to display lockup.... 1)turn off power 2) remove tuning control knob 3) use a metal probe(paper clip) to short the exposed jumper to the radio's chasis. 4)replace the tuning knob 5) turn on the radio to confirm the radio display is working properly. I am paraphrasing here but the 5 steps are what I did when the HTX had problems. I think a 2510 is just about the same radio. 73, KB5LPA |

Thank you both for the response and info. I will try shorting the jumper, and will post the result here. Bigfoot.................. |
