Hi I have a Texas Ranger 6900F JUMBO and a new style Connex 4800DXL, the one with echo. I want to tie together the transmit and receive on the clarifier. I've done it on other radios. I can't find the mod anywhere though. If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it. 73'S QPER 222 |

Jon, In the above post from Wareagle he said it was the same for the Cobra 148 GTL-DX. Not sure if this is correct as it is for the OLDER 148 GTL-DX. Clarifier Modification: #1 ~ Remove D84 #2 ~ Remove the Blue wire from the FINE Tune control and PC board. #3 ~ Run a New wire from from where the Blue wire was on the Fine Clarifier control to cathode of D-88 (located directly in front of Green A-473 Power Transistor on right side of Chassis.) #4 ~ For more "Down Slide" pull OUT R-232 and install a wire jumper in it's place. This will give you about 12KC down slide. NOTE! If you like the FINE CLARIFIER SKIP step's 1 ~ 3. Hope this help's. Lon Tech808 |

Qper, Connex 4800 DXL and all RCI 6900 *** " C " boards. Remove D68. Remove R 113. Add a jumper from the " Right side " of R 113 to 8 volts. I will attempt to upload a .jpg showing the jumper, although I ran the jumper straight to the regulator chip. Worked great on mine. 73, Fred AB5AZ |
