OK. You know how you screw the antenna to a stud mount, and then the stud goes through the plastic white ring which in turn goes through a hole in the roof? Well, who makes a mount that it won't break as easily? I have a 102" whip and am open to suggestions for a proper mount for the roof of a van. Please keep in mind that I do not want to add a spring, as I already have a quick release mount that is 6". Thanks. |

Wilson makes a really good mount! Also Francis has a stainless steel mount that you tighten with allen wrenches. Try a truck stop. If you break the Francis mount you must be pumping some serious iron! Got money? Coily makes a serious roof mount! Copper may carry what you need though, maybe give them a look? 73 |
