i have heard it on many radios on channel 6 when skip rolls around and would like to know if anybody knows how to do it! its not the old browning ping sound, its more like a three different tone squeal when mic is keyed and then goes away kinda like a moment of feed back. anyone with any info on this ??? thanks Dennis |

Rascal, I'm almost certain that what you are hearing IS feedback from tube radios and high power tube amps. Mostly on channel 6, most BIG dogs run tube amps. Possibly caused from over modulating and or talkback and the amplified mic really to close to the amp. Personally I feel that is something you do not want your radio to do if you can help it. Maybe one of the members here who have better knowledge of tube gear can enlighten us in more detail.73 |

Hank, I heard the doorbell too! Only one trucker I know of. I actually liked the doorbell. I used to like the fart but now that every trucker and his brothers radios are getting gas it starting to get old. I think a guy can make good money with these roger beeps if he can get creative. I would love a drop of water beep! Or the road runner beep!! I have heard tug boat horns and the locomotive horns that are neat also. I know this stuff is useless but sometimes I have this kid in me who wants out! |

Rascal853, There several 100's of different Ping / Roger beep & other noise toy's/modules out there and with out knowing which brand and the name of the one you heard it would be almost impossable to tell you which one you heard. I have 1 distrubutor that handles over 300 different sounds/pings/beeps just from a single manufacturer from the single to double to tripple ping and if you have turbo echo or adujustable echo can repeat/extend it over and over and it will get lower in tone. If you hear the them again just ask him what noise toy Brand/Model of ping they are using and who it is mabe by. The only way to know for sure is to ask them. Hope this help's, on Tech808 CEF808 CEF 808 N9CEF CVC#2 |
