I traded a nonworking radio for a like new Yaesu FT-2800M and i cant get the numbers on the mic fo work rite at all ! but it keys fine and recives fine but i cant reprogram it for the local repeter ! any ideas on where i can find a new mic to see if it works or if its in the radio !

Right now I have no idea where my owners manual is but maybe Moderator136 or Karatebutcher can post the mic wiring later for you and you can use any mic to test it.

On the little 2800...the mic is not used for programming repeater pairs, CT access tones, or frequencies into the channel memory bank.

All those functions are done using the set menus and the control buttons on the face of the transceiver/contol head.

Don't feel bad i had a friend get his IC-706 so
out of wack he had to do a full reset to get it
back and sounding good he played to much in the
menu's
