Does anyone know how to modify the 400 to make the fine clarifier track on transmit?

I understand that it is the same as the Eagle Sidewinder 400. Belongs to a friend and is a nightmare for knowing when you are on frequencey in SSB mode. In my opinion just more cb junk but he would like to modify it. Any information appreciated.
