Ok I need help. I live in Az and I have a home owners association. Im tired of just talking on my mobile i want a kick butt base. Now given the fact that I have an HOA I think a di pole set up is my only option. I've heard you can use two of them (one hoizontally, and one vertically) to get 360 degree coverage. But I'm gonna wanna run a lot of power. Can I run filters and not bleed through my neighbors. I just need some advice. Thanks |

running a lot of power is going to be the hardest part of your stealthiness. you want two dipoles, one north/south, and one east/west. one can be placed along the ridgebeam of your roof, and the other can be used as an inverted V using the pitch of the house. lots to consider here, and you should do some searching on dipoles to decide which configurations you can use. matt |

NO ANTENNAS if your a HAM unless they are in writing PRB-1 may over ride them or do you think they will just B**** and moan????? As for alot of power i run 75 meters to 3/4 meters all modes at 100 watts and except for one person have no problems working the world. |

sounds like its about time to erect an antron 99 five feet off the ground, and wrap fake leaves and branches around it. "nope, its not an antenna, its a spruce!" for dipole designs, you just need to type in "dipole plans" or "building a dipole" into the search engine that you prefer, and spend a few hours looking over the results. you will learn a lot! also try a search on "stealth antennas". matt |
