I may be posting this in the wrong spot. If I am how about someone move it for me please.

This is probably a stupid question, but I had someone ask me to do this for them.

They saw a radio that had 5 LED lights installed in the bottom cover of a radio. Blue I believe they were, so they ask me if I could do this for them. They are saying that they were in mounts that looked like a difusser(?) or something, not just a LED holder. They were chrome also.

Has anyone seen anything like this and where did you see it? Do you have any pictures of what they might be talking about?

Also on the Blue channel LED's how are you guys making covers for them to replace the red ones from the factory?

Thanks!

You know that gives me an idea. We used to do something like this in the military before Lexan. On some of our info. boards we would take Plexiglas and paint one side and then have lighting on the edge so when we marked on the board with a wax pencil it would give it back lighting and show up a lot better.
My idea would be to take a very thin piece of Lexan in the shape of the face plate putting it behind my S9 face plate. Take the led of your choice and put a couple or what ever may be required for equal lighting and put them at the edge of the Lexan in a way that the light would only shine thru the Lexan. When the LED's were on they would shine thru the lettering on the faceplate. I will have to file this one as my project 3,000 and I'm on project 4.

The LED holders come from RS and you can get blue
LED's from them but if you do a search online you
can find other colors get high output ones you'll
also need to use a resistors to drop the volts
for the led.
