I have a wawasee model 150 A, made in Syracuse Ind. It runs on 120 vac. 60 cyc, 3amp. It uses one 8417 tube and one 6aq5a tube. What is the output of this amp, and where could I find replacement tubes? Any help would be appreciated.

You can get replacement tubes here. http://home.att.net/~esrc/esrcs5.html

They are about the least expensive place I have seen. I have a 150b which didn't use the 6AQ5 for the keying circuit, it was solid state, and it uses a 7581 tube. I can't remember for sure but I think you can get 80 watts peak out of it.

The 150b had the tunable input coil and you could set the dead key of the amp, does your have that? It is a little thumbscrew on the back you can adjust.

My wawasee amp also has the thumbscrew on the back. Used to run it on a Teberry T-Command into a Astroplane antenna. Worked very well. Thanks for the info.
