I heard these amps were garbage with horrid warranties and poor customer service. I especially hear the the KLV 1000p cannot take high drive like they boast it will. |

Crackshot, On the KLV1000 it depends if you want the LOW Drive KLV1000 or HIGH Drive KLV1000P Model. And I have never heard or seen any Copper Forum Members post yet that owns the KLV 1000P (High Drive) that it will not take the Advertised Input Power: 60-100 Watts As for the garbage part I do not know as I never paty attention to hearsay as I always want the facts for myself. In over 200 KL / KLV products we have owned and used over the years we have personally found NONE that I could say was garbage or even came close to being called garbage. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

had all tube klv's that were made.. having been talked into selling all but the 4 tuber, what ive sold are still out there and still working, these have been in service for over 4 years!! my 4 tuber is still doing it advertized wattage with no trouble!! to be more in favor of the klv line, all that ive had and used never created any tvi or rf problems?? call me lucky, but i believe the proof is in the use of all and how they were set up at my station!! the ones that ive sold, in there use, ive heard nothing about any problem with the new users.... personally i dont call any products JUNK, because there is a use for them somewere or someplace!!! but then agin, im just a cber who has been doing this since 1958???????? thehobo 274150 am. monitor ch. |

I have a KLV 1000 in the house, and while I have only been using it a couple of weeks, I like it. In my pickup (which I use for work and drive close to 80k miles a year) I have a KL 400 that I've had for about 5-6 years with flawless operation. I've never run with it off, and leave it on even when not in the truck, even over long weekends with great success. |

My kl500 mobile was alsome, had it for a good year or so and used it as a base. I ran it hard and hot but it never failed me. had only a few problems with the ssb delay when it got that hot I could not touch it but when I started to run 8-12 watts SSB in instead of 20-30 watts SSB in the delay worked good again. I guess I was pushing it to much but it never died. |
