When you put in your call sign it takes anywhere for 10 minutes to 24 hrs for them to verify your Call sign. no need to send any other stuff, well thats all I have to do anyway. be looking forward to talking to you on echolink soon. CEF476 KI4NBE HAM181 Southeast Net Control Auburndale,FL |

they sent me an e-mail: Thank you for downloading EchoLink. To ensure security, we ask that you help us verify your request to validate KE5HDE. Even though we may have already determined that the callsign KE5HDE is valid, we need to ensure that the request to use this callsign is authorized. This is part of the normal EchoLink validation procedure for new users. We can validate this callsign if we receive a copy of your valid Amateur Radio License. Please be sure the copy CLEARLY shows the station callsign, and also the expiration date, if applicable. has anyone else had to do this?

Texasyankee, No, I have never heard of this before, BUT you did say you entered the WRONG / INCORRECT Callsign when you tried to register the first time. While this was a minor mistake on your part, Echo Link does not know if it was Really you who tried to register or a Non Licensed person just picking a callsign to use and get registered. There are 100's or more Non Licensed people who try daily to register with Echo Link and this will assure Echo Link that you are a Licensed Ham who is trying to Register. This is just a measure to insure that Only Licensed Operators have access to Echo Link. I may have to go through the same thing you are going through in a week or so when my callsign is changed from N9OSN to N9CEF. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN

6 meters was crankin' saturday, & yesterday was reaching from here to OK, as well as bouncing all over the US from east of the mississippi! i THINK ranger still has some rci5054dx100's available, i see them on auction sites frequently 'hardly used', & i've been using an ic551d that i traded for a non-working ft101e.
